Questions

Every question, answered.

What days do you operate?
Seven days a week, day and evening, all year round.
What times can we book?
Three charter times: 10am to 2pm, 2:30 to 6:30pm or 7 to 11pm. Four hours each, with extra hours available. The 2:30 afternoon charter catches the sunset and is the most popular.
Where do we depart from?
Brisbane and Moreton Bay charters depart the New Farm Park River Hub. Gold Coast charters depart The Spit, Muriel Henchman Boat Ramp. Flexible pick-ups can sometimes be arranged when you book.
Can you pick up or drop off from different locations?
Often, yes. Flexible pick-up and drop-off points can be arranged to suit your event. Ask when you enquire.
How many guests can the boat take?
Up to 60 across three areas. Above 40 guests an additional crew member joins at $75 per hour, and above 50 at $150 per hour.
How much does it cost?
Standard charters are $4,900 ex GST for four hours, and peak season (November and December) is $6,000 ex GST. Extra hours are $1,250 and $1,500 respectively. Food and drinks are priced per person on top. See the pricing page for the full table.
How does booking work?
Send your date and numbers, we call within 24 hours to confirm, a 50% deposit secures the date and the balance is due 30 days before. Final numbers seven days out, then a run sheet for the day.
What if we need to cancel?
More than 30 days out, the deposit is forfeited; within 30 days, the full fee. Where possible we’ll offer a date change instead.
Can we bring our own drinks?
Bote is a licensed vessel, so all drinks come from our bar: the drinks package from $22 a head per hour, a bar tab settled on board, or pay as you go. Tell us your favourites and we’ll stock them.
Can we decorate the boat?
Yes. Balloons, florals and signage are welcome, set up in the fifteen minutes before departure. No glitter, confetti or anything stuck to the yacht.
Can a DJ be booked?
Yes. A DJ can be arranged for larger groups, and the yacht has a Bluetooth sound system and dance floor for everyone else.
Can we bring a cake?
Yes. Bring it aboard and the crew will plate it for you.
Can guests under 18 come?
Yes, accompanied by a responsible adult. Responsible service of alcohol applies on board.
Is there a shoes-off rule?
Yes. Like all superyachts, Bote has a shoes-off rule on board to protect the teak.
What happens in bad weather?
Rain alone doesn’t cancel a charter; the aft deck is covered and the saloon is air conditioned. If the skipper calls conditions unsafe, we reschedule or refund in full.
Can we swim?
Yes, at anchor in Moreton Bay and the Broadwater, at the skipper’s call. Lifejackets are aboard. Bring towels.
Do we get a tax invoice?
Yes. A GST tax invoice is issued for the deposit and the balance, in the company’s name if you need it.
